Righty, I'm going to be taking a break from blogging for a few weeks because I'm disappearing an a small adventure. First stop will be Egypt and then west... or maybe east... haven't quite decided yet and a lot depends on what is available to me when I get to Egypt.
But, I'll be back with lots of stories :)
Also, I will leave you with one last thing, has anybody ever taught a student who was so nervous they made themselves bleed? I'm beginning to wonder if I should change my teaching style ;)
Na razie!

ReplyDeleteEGYPT!! What the hell? You off to go join the revolution?
ReplyDeleteI have never made a student bleed before. But that doesn't mean I think it's a bad idea.
Not exactly to join any revolution, although in many respects being a freelance English teacher doesn't feel 100miles away from being a mercenary sometimes - take the involvement of blood for example
ReplyDeleteMy motivation to go is more connected with seeing things for my own eyes. All news agencies have their own 'spin' on events and I guess I want to put my own spin on things? Maybe I'll change professions and just become a journalist? Although all the young journos I know just write the horoscopes or make coffee...
Awesome. Make sure you know how to say, "Don't shoot me, I'm a journalist" in the local language. :)
ReplyDeletei was once a young journo and was stuck writing community calendars for senior citizens. sexy work.
